Rose Gold

I love the look of pink and gold together - it's so pretty and elegant on a card.

I started this card by blending pink distress inks onto watercolour card. I flicked it with water to create some distressed patterns, then spritzed it with a gold perfect pearls water mix for some pretty shine.

I dried the panel with my heat tool, then cut it down to fit on an A6 card base. Before attaching to the card, I used the Lil'inker Designs Woodgrain cover plate to add some some pretty detail to the panel.

The new Roses in Bloom die-namic from MFT Stamps is a great die to have in your collection. It's very versatile and inexpensive. For this card, I die cut it from gold foil card stock. You can use just the outline of the rose, but I decided to keep the petals in place this time.

I needed something for the rose to sit on, to help draw the eye from the strong background. I settled on an oval frame, created using two sizes of oval die-namics, with a vellum panel behind to diffuse the pink. As the oval die-namics are currently out of stock, I've linked to the oval frames - a great alternative to achieve the same look.

I added the rose on top, then stamped and cut out a greeting using the MFT Label Maker Sentiments set. I added this with foam tape, and finished the card with a gold heart embellishment.

Thanks for joining me today.
