and spent a happy afternoon die-cutting and assembling these cuties
I'm saving Mr Merry Moose for a project I'll be sharing later, in the meantime, here's a Cool Yule shaker card featuring a family of adorable snowmen, aren't they just the cutest...
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to measure 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" and applied Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink lightly all over using a mini round blending tool. I then applied Tumbled Glass and Festive Berries Distress Oxide inks through the Mint Shifter Layering Stencil, spritzed with water, patted with a paper towel and die cut 3 circle apertures.
I trimmed the red snowflake paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Paper Stash to be slightly smaller than the panel and added snowbanks cut from white card to show through the apertures. I fixed the Fun Foam panel on top and filled the circles with Stampendous Chunky White Embossing Powder, Shaved Ice Fragments and Ice Crystal Sequins. I applied Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink to darken the areas around the snowflakes on the front panel, buffed with a soft cloth to remove the ink from the embossing, fixed the panel to the Fun Foam and matted on to a 5" x 7" White Card Blank. I added the snowmen die cut from Classic/Metallic Kraft Stock, white card and card coloured with Tumbled Glass and Festive Berries, one of the trees from Merry Moose, stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Great Outdoors with Black Soot Archival onto to white card, fussy cut and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
According to the boffins from the Met Office, the weather is about to turn wintry, snow and high winds are heading our way at the end of the week so the Cubbyhole Crew will be back at the die-cutting station having more fun with our cute Cool Yule friends.
Toodle-oo for now
