I love love love flower stamps so I was powerless to resist this stamp set with two large stamp images with the option of using the whole image or just bits and pieces of it. I decorated a watercolour panel which would be suitable for the cover of a journal, to decorate the lid of a gift box or as a wall hanger.
I fixed the Distress Watercolour Card to an 8" x 8" panel of chipboard, spritzed Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stains on to my glass media mat, applied the colours with a baby wipe to create a soft background colour and dried with my heat tool.
I applied Fossilized Amber and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks through the Digital Bubbles #45 Stencil using a mini round blending tool
and created random circles drawing around the insides of the circles on the stencil using a Sharpie Black Fine Pen
I stamped sections of the Blossomed Number '109 stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder
and repeated with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I coloured a scrap piece of Distress Watercolour Card with the Distress Oxide inks I had used on the background, stamped the flower and circle images with Versafine Onyx Black ink and fussy cut.
I added Hessian, Cheesecloth, Black Eclectic Elements Thread and a twig from the garden to the background, all fixed in place with dots of Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I added highlights to the centre of the flower with a Signo Uniball White Pen and fixed the flower and some of the circles in place with Tim Holtz Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension.
I stamped the words from the stamp set on to Distress Watercolor Card with Versafine Onyx Black, fussy cut and fixed to the circles with Ranger Multi Medium Matte
I added an Eclectic Elements Thread bow, splatters of White and Black Gesso and painted around the edge of the panel with Black Gesso.
Have fun whatever you are creating
Toodle-oo for now
