Brilliant Blooms

Hey stampers, Anni here!

Over New Year's Eve I went on a short vacation. Whenever I'm on a vacation I take something to colour with me. And when I have more time on my hands to colour for the most part I choose coloured pencils.

My Favourite Things' Brilliant Blooms is the perfect set to practice your colouring. I stamped the flowers in the set on white cardstock. Whenever I colour with coloured pencils I leave the stamps in my stamping tool. When I finish the colouring I stamp again to get crisp deep black lines because the pigments of the pencils often dull the lines.
I fussy cut the images (there are coordinating dies available, too).

For the sentiment I used My Favorite Things' Block Happy Birthday. I die cut it from brown embossed cardstock. To get it straight I adhered the negative part of the die cut to the card with non permanent adhesive and used it as a guide. I used dimensional adhesive to glue down the letters to get a floating look.

That finsihed up my clean and simple card! The colouring process took some time but the rest of the card came together quickly.

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend.
Anni
