Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Fragments with Cutout Blossoms...

Hi folks, I've made it home from Stitches after spending two fun filled days in the company of wonderful very special crafty friends and will be sharing all the news from the show later in the week but, as comfortable as my bed was at the fabulous Hotel En and Mike, it was so good to snuggle up last night with my adorable, champion snorer, furry hot water bottle.
Just before I left, I had a little play with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Fragments and Sizzix Cutout Blossoms Thinlits and because I wanted to use all three blossoms and a selection of  the Fragments images, before you know, I ended up making six cards. And surprise, surprise it's a sepia colour palette again, I think the dial on my colour choice machine must be stuck.

I started off by trimming six panels of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock to measure 4.1/4" x 5.1/2" and die cut the Cutout Blossoms.
I inked the Fragments stamps with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink and using different images, stamped randomly on the panels
I coloured scraps of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide by dragging the ink pad over the card, added splatters of Black Soot Distress Stain and stamped the Entomology Script Background with Black Soot Archival.
I added splatters of Frayed Burlap diluted with water and Antique Bronze Distress Mica Spray to the panels, cut the scrap card to size and fixed behind each flower.
I machine stitched around the edges of each panel,
stamped the butterfly from Entomology with Ground Espresso Archival Ink and coloured with Distress Markers and a Detailer Brush. I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Simple Sayings, an old favourite with sentiments for every occasion with Ground Espresso,
I cut up some of the stamps so that the sentiments would fit, a great way to get more out of your sentiment stamp sets, as long as you cut carefully between the words, they can easily be re-aligned on a stamp platform or acrylic block, if necessary.
I added strips of Idea-ology Aristocrat Design Tape and matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.

Paired the cards up with Kraft envelopes and I have a card ready for most occasions.
Toodle oo for now
