"Bee Yourself" July Card Kit sitting on my desk when the
"Party Like A Panda" August Card Kit arrived so I thought I would mix and match the images and sentiments to create two cute cards. The July Card Kit has sold out but the Bee Yourself stamp set is available to buy separately, click on the link below
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to measure 3.1/4" x 4.1/2", stamped the Balloon image and sentiment from Party Like a Panda and the bees from Bee Yourself with Versafine Onyx Black ink and added splatters of Hickory Smoke Distress Ink. I coloured the Balloon Image with Fossilized Amber and Hickory Smoke Distress Inks using the Detailer Brush, added white highlights with a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen and added shimmer using Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen.
I stamped the bees on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, coloured with the same inks, fussy cut and added to the panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I added shimmer to the wings, glossy accents to the eyes and noses and matted the panel to an A2 black card blank.
For the Party Like A Panda card, I die cut Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles, stamped the Balloon and Panda image with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added strips of the Doodlebug paper included in the kit and stamped the sentiment on top.
I masked off the panda image and added splatters of Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I stamped the Balloon image again on to the same paper, fussy cut and fixed to the panel with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Mini Foam Adhesive.
I coloured the cake with Distress Inks using a Distress Detailer Brush and added Glossy Accents to the panda eyes and icing on the cake (note to self - wait for it to dry before taking photos). I matted the panel on to an A2 Black Card blank.
