AALL&Create - Create It Grunge

Hi folks, it's Tuesday and I'm sharing this week's Guest Designer project for AALL&Create. I created a page in my Dina Wakley Art Journal using Cotton Watercolor paper inspired by the beautiful  Create It Grunge #150 stamp set designed by Tracy Evans and Stencil #39 Lotza Dotz and 52# Quadrilaterals designed by Autor DeMwa and Olga Heldwein.

To create the grungy background, I masked off the edges of the Cotton Watercolor paper to leave a white border and sprayed Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide sprays from the latest release through my favourite Stencil #39 Lotza Dotz.

I sprayed the back of Stencil #52 Quadrilaters liberally with Black Soot Distress Oxide Spray, wiped the solid edges of the stencil with kitchen roll and created a monoprint effect randomly on the background, respraying the stencil as necessary.

I inked the image from Create It Grunge with Versafine Onyx Black and stamped on the panel, reinked the "5" and stamped randomly on the background.

 I doodled around the border using a Letraset Black pen

fixed the panel into the Art Journal using staples and added Tim Holtz Idea-ology Chatter Design Tape
